Hack Art Lab’s A Few Small Steps opening reception Friday, Nov. 20

Newman University will be closed on “Final Friday” due to the Thanksgiving break, but will host an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m on Friday, Nov. 20 at the Steckline Gallery for A Few Small Steps, a conceptual-interactive exhibit presented by Hack Art Lab, curated by Kristin Beal-deGrandmont, former NU art adjunct faculty.

The gallery will also preview the work of Newman’s graduating senior art majors Kim Ebert, Dale Shubert, Prasuz Tamrakar and Andrea Unrein as they gear up for theirHarvest Time Senior Show, which will have a public reception Dec. 4.

The Hack Art Lab exhibit will run through Dec. 18. Additionally, the gallery will host an “Art for Lunch” lecture from noon to 1 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 24, when Beal-deGrandmont will be available to answer questions about the exhibit. This lecture is free and open to the public, with a box lunch available to the first 20 guests.
