Newman University’s spring 2026 Homecoming Week featured five days of community, fun and school spirit, running from Feb. 23 through Feb. 27. Sponsored by Student Life, each afternoon kicked off with themed snack events in the Dugan Student Activities Center. Whether students stopped by for a quick bite or stayed for the evening events, there was something for everyone throughout the week.
Evening highlights kept the energy going after hours. Monday’s Lip Sync Battle in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center got the week off to a lively start, followed by the Hispanic American Leadership Organization’s Conexión on Tuesday and a bonfire on campus Wednesday evening.
Thursday’s Homecoming night drew students, employees and alumni to the De Mattias Gorges Atrium for snacks and a photo booth, and to Fugate Gymnasium for an alumni party, two highly entertaining basketball games, introductions of the 2026 Homecoming court and the crowning of a new king and queen.
The week wrapped up Friday with Trivia Night in the Dugan-Gorgesy Conference Center where a record crowd took part in an evening of friendly competition and campus camaraderie to help raise money for student activities.
