Newman University’s Spring 2026 Homecoming Week featured five days of community, fun and school spirit, running from February 23rd through February 27th. Sponsored by Student Life, each afternoon kicked off with themed snack events in the Dugan Student Activity Center. Whether students stopped by for a quick bite or stayed for the evening events, there was something for everyone throughout the week.
Evening highlights kept the energy going after hours. Monday’s Lip Sync Battle at the Dugan Conference Center got the week off to a lively start, followed by HALO – Conexión on Tuesday and a Bonfire on campus Wednesday evening.
Thursday’s Homecoming night drew students, employees and alumni to the De Mattias Gorges Atrium for snacks and a photo booth, and to Fugate Gymnasium an alumni party, two highly entertaining basketball games and introductions of the 2026 Homecoming court introductions and crowning of a new king and queen.
The week wrapped up Friday with Trivia Night at the Dugan Library Conference Center — where a record crowd took part in an evening of friendly competition and campus camaraderie to help raise money for student activities.
