Newman University Athletics is preparing for its 33rd Annual Laurie Bell Memorial Jet Open Charity Golf Tournament. The event will kick off on Aug. 6 at 5:30 p.m. with a pre-tournament event and auction that will take place in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center at Newman University.
The golf tournament will take place at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, August 7 with an option between two shotgun starts.
The charity event will conclude with an after party and awards ceremony at Emerson-Biggins West Monday evening following the tournament.
“The Jet Open is an annual golf tournament in its 33rd year to raise money for NU athletic scholarships and help with facility upgrades,” explained Associate Athletic Director Maureen Rohleder. “Golfers can choose either a 7:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. tee time.”
The event includes lunch, a golfer gift, and prizes for the top teams.
