On Saturday, Jan. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m., the Newman University Alumni Association will hold “Hoops and Soup” in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center. “It’s our version of a basketball game tailgate party,” said Ann Fox, director of alumni relations. “We wanted a way for fans to get involved in generating spirit between the women’s and men’s basketball games.”
Alumni, parents, faculty, staff and students may purchase the chili supper with toppings for $8. Jets “Superfans” will introduce their new logo and offer a t-shirt for sale with supper for a total price of $14.
