Jordan Bani, Ph.D., has joined the faculty of Newman University’s School of Business.
Bani will begin teaching courses in the management information systems and information technology (IT) programs in mid-November.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Yarmouk University in Jordan and both his Master of Management Information Systems and Master of Science Management at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technologies at Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Bani has more than 25 years of experience planning, leading, implementing and managing IT enterprise projects at the Wichita public schools, one of the 100 largest public school districts in the U.S. with more than 50,000 students.
He said he is excited to join the Newman faculty and become an active member of its community. He said it is inspiring as a faculty member to live by Newman University’s core values and to educate the students, helping them to lead a meaningful and purposeful life.
“It has been a long-term goal for me to become a faculty member at Newman University,” said Bani. “I strive to inspire students to do their very best in the classroom and recycle and apply their gained knowledge at their workplace to be a productive member of the workforce.”
