Joyful Jet / Tuition Stop Day – April 18

Joyful Jet Day
Students show their appreciation for donors by acknowledging Joyful Jet Day.

On Monday, April 18 pedestrians on campus may spot signs that read “TUITION STOP DAY” – also known as “Joyful Jet Day.”

Joyful Jet Day celebrates donors—alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students – who generously give to Newman University, making it stronger with every gift.

Joyful Jet Day is important to raise awareness among our students that their tuition only covers a percentage of what it actually costs to educate them for one year. This day symbolically marks the approximate point in the year when students’ tuition stops paying for their education and the financial support from other means begins.

Additionally, Newman University celebrates the thousands of alumni and friends of the university who are making an investment in the lives of our students.

Joyful Jet Day is an opportunity to recognize those who invest their time and treasure in our university.
