The Newman Theatre Department will host a group of theatre students from Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School this Friday, Oct. 21. The students will have an opportunity to see the campus and have dinner at 6 p.m. in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center. Raffle tickets will be given out at the event and a prize will be awarded.
After dinner, the students will watch the Sloppy Joes improvisation team perform at 7 p.m. The group will leave during the intermission and return to the alumni center where they will watch the 8 p.m. premiere of the PBS documentary “Hamilton’s America” which chronicles the making of the critically-acclaimed, award-winning musical about Alexander Hamilton, a key figure in the formation of the United States.
Newman senior Trevor Farney said, “This is a great way to get the Kapaun students on campus to see the theatre department and have fun with dinner and theatre-related events.”
