KICA study reveals economic impact from Friends University and Newman University

Aug 21, 2014

The Kansas Independent Colleges Association (KICA) recently did a study on all 18 KICA colleges and universities. The study shows how much income Kansas independent colleges and universities generate and how they have affected the economic growth for Kansans. Overall these schools generate more than $980 million per year in new income for the state of Kansas. Between Newman and our K54 neighbors at Friends University we generate nearly 30 percent of that at $293.6 per year!

Read an Op-Ed on the KICA study co-written by Newman President Noreen M. Carrocci, Ph.D. and Friends Interim President Darcy Zabel on the Wichita Eagle Web site or the Newman University President’s Blog.
