Newman University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jaime Green will present the next installment of the Newman “Last Lecture Series,” scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
The series features a member of the community presenting a lecture as if it were the last lecture of his or her life. Speakers are free to choose any topic and to impart wisdom and insights gained from their personal experience. The series was inspired by a lecture series at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa, where top academics are asked to think deeply about what matters to them and present their ideas in a hypothetical “final talk.”
The Tarsicia Roths, ASC Alumni Center is on the second floor of the Dugan Library and Student Center on the Newman campus.
