NU students, faculty and staff lined up Nov. 27 in Dugan Library to get a free taste of Little Bits Gourmet Cookies. The sampling of “The Tiny Cookie with the Big Taste” was courtesy of Newman alum Greg Cole ’95, who created, bakes, packages and markets the cookies through the Good Life Company he founded in Wichita.
The cookies are now available at the Newman Bookstore, and the Spice Merchant, Green Acres Food Market and Exploration Place, as well as locations in Missouri and Oklahoma. Cole said he is now working to secure an agreement that will place Little Bits in more than 100 Fresh Market supermarkets nationwide.
Cole will receive the 2013 Leon A. McNeill Distinguished Alumni Award at the Cardinal Newman Banquet Feb. 23, 2013.
