Newman University sold raffle tickets for the chance to own an iconic silver 2020 Ford Mustang between Aug. 5 and Oct. 1. Thanks to the generosity of Rusty Eck Ford, nearly $80,000 was raised for student scholarships.
Five finalists — Gene Klaus, John Burke, Kim Lee, Dr. Pat Do and Kevin Christopherson — were randomly drawn Friday, Oct. 2 and each will take their turn at attempting to start the brand new car during a celebration on Friday, Oct. 9.
Rusty Eck Ford will also be showcasing a small selection of outstanding vehicles during the invitation-only event, which will be streamed live at 5 p.m. on the Newman University Facebook and YouTube channels.
