Construction continues to move forward on the Newman University Campus Mall. The new parking lot and west portion of the mall have been completed and irrigation and landscaping work has begun.
Within two weeks, concrete and brick work are expected to be complete. Stonework on the Newman seal is being placed and bricks honoring Adorers of the Blood of Christ who have served at Newman are scheduled for installation next week. Irrigation for the mall is expected to be complete by Aug. 9 and landscaping by Sept. 5. The statue of St. Maria De Mattias for the Founders Plaza is scheduled to be delivered Sept. 1. All should be completed, with cooperation from Mother Nature, in time for the dedication of the Campus Mall and Founders Plaza scheduled for Sept. 12. View photos from July 9, below.
