Newman launches Transfer Student Blog

Apr 08, 2010

Newman University launches a blog today to help transfer students contact each other for support, help and encouragement as they adjust to the university. The Transfer Blog creates a place where students can ask questions about any topic and see responses by transfer students who have successfully made the transition from another college.

“Because of family and job commitments it is next to impossible to find a time for transfer students to gather,” said Director of Institutional Research and Transfer Activities Joann Mark, ASC. “With the blog they can benefit from the experience of others at any time of the day or night. Kristi Ruge, Dr. Duncan Rose and I hope that it will become very active and provide support to all transfer students, but especially to those who struggle their first semester at Newman University.”
