Mar 27, 2014

Newman University will offer over 30 Continuing Education workshops this summer for educators needing CE credits for re-licensure and those who simply have a desire for ongoing learning. The courses will be offered at a very affordable price of $120 per credit hour, which includes both the workshop and the college credit.

The workshop courses are based on teacher input from a recent survey. The schedule includes some fully online courses, as well as blended, interactive television (ITV) or webcam for outreach sites, and several face-to-face courses on the Newman Wichita campus.

Course titles include “The Real ‘Socratic Method,'” “Understanding and Managing Behaviors in the Classroom,” “Foundations of Leadership Coaching Language” and many others. Workshops begin as early as May 27.

A bachelor’s degree is required for the workshops. For more information, a list of courses or to register, visit http://newmanu.edu/continuing-education-workshops.
