Newman Provost to deliver Constitution Day lecture at Friends University Sept. 17

Newman University Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Michael Austin, Ph.D. will provide a Constitution Day Program from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Alumni Auditorium at Friends University. The event is sponsored by the Garvey Institute of Law. The event is free and open to the public.

Austin is also the author of six books, including his most recent, That’s Not What They Meant, about the founding fathers. He has also written a bestselling college history textbook. Russell Arben Fox, Ph.D., associate professor of political science at Friends University, will introduce Austin. The Alumni Auditorium is inside the Davis Administrative Building on the Friends campus. A reception will immediately follow Austin’s presentation.
