“I was extremely excited to learn that I can serve the student affairs field outside of my institutional responsibilities,” Mullin said. “Being able to network with schools across our region and at the national level is an honor, and I look forward to serving over the next three years.”

The next NASPA conference is Nov. 8-12 in Beaver Creek, Colo. Mullin said he plans to attend.naspa_iv-w_regional_fall_2015__medium

“There have been representatives from Big 12 schools and beyond, so being able to have Newman University by my name when I’m working with people and institutions across the country will be a great way to get the Newman name out in Kansas, as well as across the nation,” he said.

Mullin said he feels that the position as Kansas membership coordinator provides the opportunity to develop and network, which in turn will also benefit Newman.

“It is vital to the success of student affairs here at Newman to bring in new ideas and ways of thinking,” Mullin said. “We can then continue to move our best foot forward in supporting our students and university family.”
