The Newman University State Fair booth is ready to go for the 11 a.m. opening on Sept. 5 of the Meadowlark Building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. This year the booth will include a TagMeCam webcam which will give students, alumni and any other NU fans the opportunity to tag a photo of themselves on the NU Facebook page. Come check us out in the Meadowlark Building on the west side of the fair!
Newman is still needing volunteers at the booth as there are multiple slots open for any faculty, staff, or alum to help participate. Representatives of Newman will provide fair goers with information about the university, new programs, upcoming events, financial aid, admissions and other topics. Volunteers will receive two entry passes to the fair and a small cash stipend for some snacks. Any alums helping out will receive an original-design t-shirt. Faculty and staff members will receive mileage reimbursement for one vehicle per shift for roundtrip between the Newman campus and Hutchinson.
