Newman University establishes Speakers Bureau program

Nov 17, 2011

Newman University officials have announced the establishment of a new Speakers Bureau program. Members of the university’s faculty and staff are available through the bureau to provide lectures or presentations on a variety of topics based on their respective areas of expertise. The talks are offered free of charge to organizations and groups throughout the Wichita area.

“We are truly excited to launch the Speakers Bureau program,” said Newman Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Michael Austin, Ph.D. “This is a great opportunity for Newman University faculty and staff to educate and spread awareness to the community about topics that affect our everyday life.”

To date, 24 Newman faculty and staff members have volunteered to provide presentations through the Speakers Bureau. Topics are available that relate to aspects of business, careers, education, health, higher education, history, literature, marriage and family, personal development, and professional development/leadership.

For more information on the Speakers Bureau, call 316-942-4291, ext. 2164, or e-mail [email protected]. To reserve a speaker, visit the Newman Speakers Bureau Web site at www.newmanu.edu/speakers-bureau.
