Newman University Music Department Presents Gabriel Faure’s Requiem Oct. 25

Wichita, Kan. – The Newman University Music Department will present its first concert of the year on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 3 p.m. in St. John’s Chapel, inside Sacred Heart Hall on the Newman campus, 3100 McCormick. The Troubadours, Newman’s select, auditioned singing and touring ensemble, will begin the concert with Letters from Ireland, a choral work featuring Celtic Irish folk music. The Newman Chorale, the university’s large ensemble group, will present Gabriel Faure’s Requiem, a major work with orchestral accompaniment.

Admission for the concert is only $5 and tickets are available at the door. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
