NursingNewman University was recently ranked tenth in the nation for its online nursing program by Affordable Colleges Online, adding another recognition to the university’s already touted nursing programs.

“We made sure to highlight schools across the nation that are leading in academic excellence for online nursing,” said Dan Schuessler, CEO and founder of Affordable Colleges Online. “These schools are ensuring quality nurses are entering a workforce that will need at least a million registered nurses nationwide by 2018.”

To be ranked, Newman University had to meet Affordable Colleges Online’s criteria:

  • Must be a public or private, not-for-profit institution
  • Must offer at least one fully-online bachelor’s degree program
  • Quality of academic and counseling services offered
  • Graduate job placement metrics

Students enrolled in Newman University’s RN-to-BSN online program will complete coursework structured to allow them to move through the program at their own pace through web-based group interactions and faculty and student presentations.
