For the fourth time this season, Newman senior Rubi Torres has been named the Heartland Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, announced Oct. 13 by the Heartland Conference. Torres previously earned the honor on Sept. 8, 22 and 29.
Torres has finished in first place in two of the four races so far this season, and set a Newman record in the 5K. Read more about Torres here.
