Newman University’s Music Department is presenting Curtain Up, a music theater performance which offers a backstage look at the week preceding the opening night of a show. Curtain Up will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on April 29, 30, and May 1 in the Performance Hall inside the De Mattias Fine Arts Center.
The play highlights two “wannabe” producers as they envision the shows they plan to produce. Curtain Up includes a mixture of songs from Broadway classics and shows currently running in the Big Apple. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for college-age students and below. Tickets can be purchased at the door the evening of the show. The doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
