As of Dec. 2, there’s a brand new payment system for Newman University students to use called NUPay.
What is Student Accounts?
The Student Accounts office manages students’ billing, payment and payment plan needs. Whether students need to submit a payment, check account balances or set up a payment plan, Student Accounts is the place to go.
What is NUPay?
NUPay, a platform through Flywire, is Newman’s new one-stop payment shop for students and authorized users. Students can set up payment plans, make one-time payments, view their online statements, sign up for eRefunds and more.
Who is affected by NUPay?
The transition affects all Newman students enrolled in the spring semester. Each enrolled student will receive a welcome email from NUPay directing him or her to set up an account through the new site.
“The new system has been in the works for quite some time and it just so happened that this year was finally our year,” Nicole Brown, payroll manager and student accounts manager, said.
How does NUPay work?
The main goal of NUPay is to make the student billing experience as seamless as possible. Rather than logging into Jetstream to view and pay bills, NUPay will house all current payment plan processes.
“Students will no longer be getting paper checks for their financial aid and loan refunds,” Brown added. “Instead, it can all be deposited directly into their bank accounts.”
Each account offers an option to add authorized users including parents, guardians, spouses and others so they can access the student’s account if desired.
