Retired OTA professor J.K. Werner retakes the wheel

On Wednesday, Apr. 6, J.K. “Jody” Werner, MA, OTR, a retired Newman University OTA professor, made a quick stop at the Wichita Newman University location to act as a guest lecturer for a pediatric class – a class she taught and developed for the Occupational Therapy program.

Jody brags, “One of my former students is now a teacher for [the pediatric class] class and she’s away at a conference so I get come back and enjoy teaching one more time.”

Werner taught at Newman University from 1997 through 2010. She currently resides in Colorado and spends her time teaching the disabled to write and teaching at a local school.
