The nationally acclaimed Christian rock band Rush of Fools will be performing outdoors on Newman University’s Founders Plaza on Friday, March 27. According to Weather.com, Friday’s forecast calls for a high of 58 degrees with no chance of rain.
As a precaution, alternate plans in the case of inclement weather were to move the concert inside Fugate Gymnasium. The alternate plans will not be in effect.
People attending the concert are encouraged to bring a light jacket, blankets to sit on, and folding chairs. If you get hungry, three different food trucks will be stationed on the plaza. Funky Monkey Munchies, Let’m Eat Brats and B.S. Sandwich Press will all be directly on the plaza during the concert.

Instagram Photo Contest
For those on Instagram, Newman University will present awards to the top five individuals with the best Instagram photo taken during the concert. Instagram photos must be tagged #NewmanURush to be in the contest. The winners will be announced at the end of the concert and must be present to win.

First prize: Rush of Fools cd bundle
Second prize: Rush of Fools single cd of choice
Third prize: Drum sticks
Fourth prize: Photo signed by Rush of Fools band members
Fifth prize: Rush of Fool wrist bracelet
Facebook Event Share Contest
In an effort to promote the concert, Newman University held a Facebook contest to award a prize to the person with the most accepted invites for the Facebook Rush of Fools event page. The contest has now ended and the winner will be announced before Rush of Fools takes the stage.
Rush of Fools, a Christian-faith rock and praise band from Birmingham, Ala., will perform at Newman University on Friday, March 27. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Founders Plaza and is free and open to the public. For more information visit http://newmanu.edu/rush.
