The Newman University Office of Alumni Relations will host the Sacred Heart Academy Class of 1961 50th Anniversary Reunion. Activities for the reunion will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 and conclude at noon Sunday, Aug. 7. on the Newman campus in Wichita. A pass for all reunion weekend events is available for $20.
Class members Mahala Stewart Woodward, Margaret Weilert, Nikki Meitner Nelson and Martha Wendel Dandurand have planned a full weekend of activities. Friday will feature a “Meet and Eat” buffet in the evening, and Saturday will include organized tours of the campus and Academy Plaza, a bus tour of historic Wichita as well as a dinner and Golden Hearts Induction Ceremony. Sunday’s events include a 10 a.m. Mass followed by a coffee and continental breakfast.
