School of Science and Mathematics Receives $9,272 Grant

The School of Science and Mathematics at Newman University was selected to receive a 2008 Pittsburgh Conference Memorial National College Grant (PCMNCG). Newman’s proposal was one of the 13 selected for funding from the 66 proposals received for consideration.

The grant represents the full requested amount, $9,272, to purchase radiation detection instruments to be used in a variety or courses in five outreach programs for underserved students.

Assistant Professor of Chemistry John Leyba was the principal investigator of the grant. Congratulations!
