St. Maria De Mattias and Founders Plaza will be the subjects of the first lecture in the 2016-2017 series of four “Mission Talks” at Newman University. The talk will be presented by Director of Mission Effectiveness Charlotte Rohrbach, ASC at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the Tarcisia Roths, ASC Alumni Center, located on the second floor of the Dugan Library and Campus Center on the Newman campus.
The event is free and open to the public. A complimentary buffet lunch will be provided to attendees who RSVP to Charlotte Rohrbach, ASC at [email protected] or call 316-942-4291, ext. 2167 no later than 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12. RSVP is mandatory for the complimentary buffet lunch.
The talk will feature a virtual tour of the numerous places on campus that have to do with St. Maria De Mattias. There will also be an exhibit in the Heritage Room located in Sacred Heart Hall created by University Archives Lead Student Intern Diana Stanley, which will showcase all of the things on campus, from groups to places, that are associated with St. Maria.
At this Mission Talk attendees will be able to collect the card featuring ninth President of Newman University Tarcisia Roths, ASC for the game “Collect the Deck.”
The theme of this year’s Mission Talks is Adorers who have buildings named after them on campus.
