Staff Assembly Silent Auction Collects $4,522

On Friday 11 Newman University‘s Staff Assembly Silent Auction Committee wrapped up its silent auction collecting $4,522 from bid donations. Profits from this event will be used to fund Hearts & Hands fund and to donate to Women’s Initiative Network.

The Hearts & Hands fund provides monetary gifts to Newman University staff members who are experiencing a significant crisis or hardship.

Half of the money collected is going to Hearts & Hands Fund while the remaining will be donated to Women’s Initiative Network. W.I.N. brings help for women in transition, providing social, educational and general life skills that allow them to regain job security in today’s workforce.

Awards have been given for People’s Choice for departmental baskets. Education took first place, Admissions came in second place, and Advancement and Student Accounts tied for third place.
