On Feb. 28 Newman University will take part in the Wichita Art Day of Giving. As part of the Wichita Art Day of Giving, the Wichita Community Foundation has launched a social media competition and Newman needs your vote! The winning organization will receive $500.

Voting in the social media competition will end Friday, Feb. 21.
The Wichita Art Day of Giving, which will take place on Feb. 28, was created for Wichita’s nonprofit art organizations that provide education and artistic leadership to the public through production or exhibition of visual or performing art.
The event gives the opportunity to Wichita art lovers to give back to their favorite nonprofit organizations by making donations online at http://www.razoo.com/story/Newman-University during Feb. 28 only. The minimum donation is $10.
During the day, the Steckline Gallery will be open at 5 p.m. for Final Friday and will welcome artist Johnny Sutton. Part of this art celebration day is the Newman University Theatre Department’s first showing of “Iphigenia” at 8 p.m. in the De Mattias Fine Arts Center Performance Hall.
