Mid-America Ag Network owner Larry Steckline and his wife Carla Stovall Steckline will host the Party on the Ponderosa from 5-10 p.m. on Sept. 26 at their ranch to raise funds for Newman student scholarships.
The party will feature: a drawing to win a 2009 Chevy Aveo5 from Joe Self Chevrolet – Cadillac, Inc.; a western steak dinner and refreshments; games including prairie golf, horseshoes and chicken poop keno; ‘Cowpoke Caricature’ portraits; strolling entertainers in period costumes including “Buffalo Bill Cody,” the Dixie Lee Dance Troupe and fiddlers Chelley Graves and Sarah Baxter; cowboy poet and western singer Dave Zerf; gunfight reenactments by Bigger Than Life Productions and Newman University staff; The Bucky Fowler Band; fireworks; a live and a silent auction; and much more!
