Two graduates of Newman University were among the Wichita Business Journal‘s “40 Under 40” Class of 2009.The Newman alumni are 2007 graduate Mike Harp, president of Corporate Safety Compliance Inc., who was the first Newman alum with an MBA selected for the 40 Under 40 honor, and 1999 graduate Stacie Myers, who earned a bachelor of science degree in Marketing and Management, and is now in Business Development at Kennedy and Coe LLC. Each year, the Business Journal selects 40 professionals in the Wichita area under the age of 40 who have excelled in their careers and in the community. The 40 in this year’s class were selected from more than 200 nominees. A banquet honoring the 2009 40 Under 40 Class took place Sept. 24 at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
