It takes a village to make Newman University’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Party on the Plaza, a success.
The 2026 event, which took place Sept. 26, featured more than 1,000 flowers, 340 guests and a new Kentucky Derby theme. Despite a new look, the heart of the event remained the same: to provide life-changing scholarship opportunities for Newman students.
Thanks to participation in sponsorships, golden ticket sales, silent and live auction packages and a horse race raffle, more than $174,700 was raised by the evening’s end.
