On Saturday, Oct. 1, members of the Newman community made a difference in the lives of a family in need by partnering with Wichita Habitat for Humanity.
According to its website, Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization present in all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Its vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live, and creates this reality for families in need of decent and affordable housing.
“It literally changes the lives of these future homeowners,” Newman President Kathleen Jagger said at the homebuilding event. “Providing a low-cost home for them changes their family for generations.”
The Newman Alumni Office would like to thank each and every person who contributed their time and efforts to Saturday’s volunteer day. Together, we can truly transform society for the better.
