The Newman chemistry club hosted its annual Nano Day celebration (also known as National Nanotechnology Day) on campus Wednesday, Oct. 13 outside the Bishop Gerber Science Center.
The popular event featured the 100 billion nanometer dash, where students, faculty and staff members sprinted to see how fast they could run 100 billion nanometers or 100 meters. Chemistry club also hosted a 10 billion nanometer disc toss, games of nanometer corn hole and nanometer spike ball.
