The Newman University Women’s Basketball Team is the Heartland Conference champion with a 66-62 win over the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, Saturday, March 3 in Fugate Gymnasium. The win gives the team its first-ever bid for the NCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship. The Jets now await their NCAA Regional Assignment, which will be released Sunday.
