Newman library hosts book discussion series ‘Desert Island Books’

The Newman University Faculty Library Committee is hosting a series of discussions on books with the question, “If you could only have one book to read while stranded on a desert island, which one would you choose?” The first event in the series was a talk Jan. 20 by Newman University Provost Michael Austin on his book choice The Picture of Dorian Gray. He discussed what it meant to him and how his views about the book changed over time with each read. Upcoming discussions in this series will include the books The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the GalaxyLittle Women and The Canterbury Tales.
