Newman University is a sponsor for the Wichita Force’s Faith and Family Night on Friday, Apr. 1 at INTRUST Bank Arena.
President Noreen M. Carrocci, Ph.D., believes the event is good for the community and Newman.”We are excited to be able to help sponsor this event,” Carrocci said. “I think it’s wonderful that a professional sports organization, like the Force, is taking time to promote faith and families.”
“Newman is a place where faith is embraced as part of the learning experience. Even though Newman is a Catholic university, we’re open to all. Students are prepared well to succeed in future careers but our goal is to educate the whole person, encouraging them to seek truth and a meaningful, purpose-filled life, and empower them to change the world,” Carrocci said.
For a second straight year Newman will join Young Life Wichita in sponsoring the event. Young Life Wichita is a Christian-based, faith group that serves the Wichita and surrounding area communities.
For Newman students interested in attending the game, the Student Life office has a limited supply of tickets available.
