$12William Shakespeare’s masterpiece is considered his most famous and most perplexing play. Hamlet, a student in Whittenberg, is called home to deal with the untimely death of his father only to discover that his uncle has married his mother. The Ghost of his father soon charges him to take revenge for his untimely murder at the hands of his own brother. While Hamlet considers this, he feigns madness. The play explores themes such as appearance vs. reality, political corruption, and morality.
