Estate Planning for Women Session at Newman March 27

Mar 19, 2015

Newman University is hosting a free lunch and learn seminar focusing on estate planning strategies. Estate Planning for Women will be held at noon, March 27 in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center on the Newman campus.

“I believe it’s the first time for an event of this kind on campus,” said Newman Senior Development Officer David Alexander. “Our goal is to make sure Newman alumni and friends are up to date on estate law and considerations.”

Alexander believes attendees will benefit by gaining insights and peace of mind knowing that their estate will be dispersed in a “manner consistent with their wishes.”

The luncheon features speaker Linda Constable, an attorney with Fleeson, Gooing, Coulson & Kitch.

Constable’s law practice includes drafting wills, revocable trusts and related documents, and structuring wealth transfers to individuals and charities through irrevocable trusts and other arrangements. She is also an expert in complex planning associated with business succession issues; preparing gift, estate and generation-skipping tax returns; forming family limited partnerships and other entities; advising fiduciaries on administration of estates and trusts, and resolving tax disputes.

Reservations are required to attend the event and can be made by calling 316-942-4291 extension 2163 or emailing [email protected]. The deadline for making a reservation is March 26.

“Men are welcome to attend, too,” Alexander added.
