The Mass of the Holy Spirit held in St. John’s Chapel marked the first Mass of the school year for Newman. It included the traditional Matriculation Ceremony for new incoming students. A unique part of Mass this year was the celebration of the renewal of vows for Charlotte Rohrbach, ASC. Sr. Rohrbach celebrated with students, faculty and staff the 50th anniversary of her vows as an Adorer of the Blood of Christ.
Following Mass, Thomas Borrego, vice president for Advancement, surprised Rohrbach with the announcement that an endowed scholarship has been established in her name in honor of her service to the ASC and to the university.
