Button up for the Wichita River Festival

Jul 31, 2015

Ask anyone in Wichita what they do in the summer, and chances are you’ll get the same answer – Riverfest. The 10 day, city-wide festival encompasses carnival food, amusement park rides, concerts, jet ski races and so much more. This year marked the 44th annual Wichita River Festival, at which nearly 20 bands rocked out on stage. Music not your thing? Don’t worry, the festival offers some of the most iconic eats on this side of the Arkansas River – fried dessert, turkey legs, BBQ and even traditional Greek. If the thought of a deep fried gummy worm sends you running for the hills, just walk on over to the farmers market and pick up some locally grown produce.

Riverfest runs day and night throughout its 10 day span and is a great place to bring the family too. It only comes once a year, but take a sneak peek for next year at wichitariverfest.com. The River Festival can be a highlight of your summer for the mere price of one $10 button, which grants admission for all 10 days. Button up and enjoy the fun!
