The Importance of Grasslands in our Ecosystem – Laudato Si’s Earth Week

April 20, 2022 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

“Grasslands are overlooked and underappreciated. We’re here to change that. These grasses are home to an untold number of plants and animals and they are disappearing fast. Learn their stories and spread the word: grasslands are worthy of your fascination. Grasslands are worth saving.”

In honor of Earth Week at Newman, Nicole Brown, co-founder of Grassland Groupies, will present “The Importance of Grasslands in our Ecosystem and Our Role in Preserving Them” from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 in Bishop Gerber Science Center Room 105.

All are welcome to bring their own lunches! This event is open to the public.
