Newman celebrates several accomplishments

Sep 27, 2012

Former Newman University President Tarcisia Roths, ASC, was recognized today by The Wichita Business Journal  during the 2012 Women in Business event held at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita.  Each year the newspaper recognizes outstanding women in the Wichita area for their career accomplishments and contributions to the success of other women. Dr. Jackie Vietti, Butler Community College president and current Newman University Board of Trustee member, and Newman alumna Debbie Winter of Bombardier Learjet were also honored.

Newman Professor Meg Trumpp, director of the Respiratory Care program, has been named as a Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). She will be formally inducted as a Fellow during the AARC’s annual meeting in New Orleans, Nov. 10, 2012 for her “profound and lasting contribution to the profession of respiratory care and to the AARC.”

Deanne Zogleman,  Newman University director of music, was recently named the recipient of the 2012 Mary Jane Teall Theatre Award for Lead Female in a Musical.  Zogleman portrayed Eve/Mama Noah in the production of Children of Eden.

Congratulations to all of these women on their accomplishments, and for their dedication to Newman University.
