Newman Campus Ministry is hosting an outdoor adoration for the community to attend. The event will take place 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Marian Grotto located near the northwest corner outside of Sacred Heart Hall.
The adoration follows the 7 p.m. Mass in St. John’s Chapel located inside Sacred Heart Hall. If the weather is not optimal, the adoration will be moved into the chapel. Otherwise, after Mass, the congregation will process out the east doors and from there to the Marian Grotto.
Along with the adoration, there will be praise and worship music provided by Wichita Adorer Ministries and three priests to hear confession.
This is the final outdoor adoration of the year; two are held during the year, one in the spring, and one in the fall.
The event is free and open to the public — Newman students, faculty, staff, and friends, along with Wichita residents, are invited to join in the worship.
