Seven Newman alumni answer God’s call as Catholic priests, deacons

In May 2026, five Newman alumni were ordained priests, while two others were ordained transitional deacons.

Three alumni were ordained as priests for the Catholic Diocese of Wichita: Fathers Matthew Cooke, Jesus Banuelos and Caleb Kuestersteffen.
