Newman University and Pratt Community College (PCC) have created an agreement that will offer a dual-admissions program and a special scholarship for PCC students who continue their education at Newman.
Dual-admissions agreement with Dodge City Community College offers students scholarship, ease of transfer to Newman University
Newman University and Dodge City Community College (DCCC) have created an agreement that will offer a dual-admissions program and a special scholarship for DCCC students who continue their education at Newman. The agreement allows DCCC students who complete an associate of arts or associate of science degree to transfer to Newman University as juniors with all general education requirements met, with the exception of the philosophy and theology courses required of all Newman students. DCCC students who transfer to Newman will also earn a $3,000 per year scholarship, which is renewed each academic year so long as academic requirements are met.
Students, honorary degree recipients to be recognized at Newman University spring and summer graduation ceremonies
Newman University will hold the Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement ceremony for spring and summer 2011 graduates on May 13 and May 14, respectively. The university will also honor graduating nursing students on May 13, as well as Occupational Therapy Assistant students on May 15 who have completed coursework and will begin internships. Read More…

Newman University stages contest to name new mascot
Newman University is in the final phase of completing a new university mascot and has launched a contest to give the mascot a fitting name. The contest, which will award the winner a new IPad, is open to everyone in the Wichita community and will end Sept. 19. The new mascot will make its first appearance Sept. 27 at halftime of the women’s soccer match on Wilkins Field on the Newman campus.

Newman University and Butler Community College of El Dorado, Kan., have created an agreement that will offer a new dual-admissions program to students. This agreement will allow many Butler students with a 2.0 GPA or above to transfer to Newman and earn a $3,000 per year scholarship, which is renewable each academic year so long as the student meets all academic requirements. Newman University new website more interactive, dynamic
Newman University has launched a completely new website that is designed to be more interactive, dynamic and user-friendly. The site features a new look based on the university’s current recruitment and advertising theme, as well as a simplified approach to content designed to help visitors find the information they want quickly and efficiently.
Newman student talent needed for TV!
We will need one traditional age student (age 18 – 22) and one adult student (age 30 – 45). Newman University’s TV spots will begin airing during the 2010-11 school year. Both spots will feature close ups of the face and eyes. So, got a great smile? Got great eyes? Don’t be shy!! Send a photo of yourself (headshot, small file size please) AND a contact number to Kelly Snedden, Newman’s director of communications, sneddenk@newmanu.edu by Monday, June 14, 5 p.m! Doug Jansen, TV producer, and Intake Studio will help select the talent based on what they need. The individuals selected should expect a half day production commitment to be scheduled in the near future. Must be a current Newman student!
