Newman University names Troy Horine Vice President for University Advancement

Newman University has named Wichita native Troy Horine Vice President for University Advancement. Horine has assumed duties at Newman effective July 16. Horine will oversee Newman’s Advancement Department, which incorporates Fundraising/Development, Alumni Relations, University Relations, and Mission and Archives.

Drewes honored by Greater Wichita Sports Commission

2012 USBC Intercollegiate Women’s Singles Champion Georgia Drewes was honored by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission at its annual banquet June 28 at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita. Newman signs five-year outfitting contract with Adidas

NU Athletics recently signed a five-year contract with Adidas, which will provide exclusive apparel and footwear to all of Newman’s athletic teams. Anonymous donors honor Father Emil Kapaun with scholarship for Newman University Campus Ministry students

Anonymous donors recently made a gift of $75,000 to create a scholarship for students involved in Campus Ministry at Newman University, and to honor the life and work of Father Emil J. Kapaun, the Kansas-born Catholic priest and Army chaplain who died in a North Korean prisoner of war camp in 1951.
