Project Sonrisa delivers 11,000 toothbrushes
Newman University students in the Study and Serve in Guatemala project are currently working on intensive language study this week in Guatemala. Their service project for this trip was to deliver toothbrushes to needy children there. Through the efforts of Project Sonrisa (Project Smile), Newman students collected more than 11,300 toothbrushes.

The Newman University 2010 Commencement for spring and summer graduates was held Saturday, May 15 at Central Community Church, 6100 W. Maple. This year, a total of 315 students graduated, including 28 who earned associate’s degrees, 132 who earned bachelor’s degrees and 155 who earned master’s degrees.
