NU alum plays role in Jesse James Documentary
Newman alum Ron Pastore, ’94 graduate and a history buff , plays a key role in the new documentary “Jesse James’ Hidden Treasure.” The documentary is currently airing on the History Channel and will air again Saturday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m.

‘Handle’ art exhibit opens Oct. 30
An opening reception for “Get A Handle On It,” an exhibition of works by several artists, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Steckline Gallery, inside the De Mattias Fine Arts Center on the Newman campus. The exhibit will run through Nov. 13.

Education conference, research center dedicated in memory of Susan Reeves, ASC
A standing-room-only crowd attended a reception and dedication ceremony Oct. 26 for the Susan Reeves, ASC Memorial Conference and Research Center in the lower level of McNeill Hall. The center is named for former Associate Professor of Education and Newman alumnae Sister Susan Reeves, Ph.D., who died of cancer July 7, 2007.

Wichita, Kan. – Scooter’s Coffeehouse is going back to school beginning next month. Newman University announced last week that the coffeehouse franchise will set up shop in Newman’s Marketplace located inside the Dugan Library and Campus Center.
